4. Gucci:
Gucci is another brand name that originates from the fashion capital of the world i.e. Italy. As is the trend with fashion trends, Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci back in 1921 in the city of Florence, Italy. Gucci is one of the most widely spread fashion brands in the world today and the company even directly owns and manages some 278 stores throughout the world.
5. Dior:
France's entry into this list of top five designer clothing brands is Christian Dior or just Dior. The biggest thing about the Dior lines is their dynamic nature or the way that they never remain the same. Dior is known for its wide range of styles and designs as it does not conform to any one aspect of fashion. The brand is able to do this and still be successful because its head designer John Gailiano has a tendency to be ahead of the curve when it comes to fashion trends.
Although the above mentioned five clothing line brands can be said to be the top five in existence today, other brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent should also be included.
