How to dress well in a hot climate.?
I'd desperately love to wear something chic and trim, but I live in the tropics and it's just too hot to slip into any of the things I'd really like to be wearing. I'm a tall, slim man and I love to be overdressed. I couldn't be happier than when I've got a necktie cinched under my collar with a big fat windsor knot.
It breaks my heart that I'm living in a place that's so stiflingly hot. Nobody wears a second layer of anything here. Even if I tug on a pair of jeans and my most casual blazer for dinner, my outfit looks contrived in the context. Everywhere I look, it's just a sea of untucked, ill-fitted shirts.
For the time being, I'm getting by with oxford shirts, but I'm starting to really miss my neckties. If I wear a necktie without a jacket, I'm afraid I'll end up looking like a mormon. Help!
