Silver Tie Necktie
Neckties are indeed small pieces of cloth that hangs at the middle of your body. Still, your neckties deserve some tender loving affection that you would afford any other pieces of garments that you have. Taking care of your necktie will not only save you money, but it can also keep you from taking frequent visits to the men's department. 1. Cleanliness is always foremost. Your neckties are not separate pieces of garments. You have to be very conscious of how you conduct yourself whenever you wear a tie as well as how you eat when you're wearing a tie. Neckties are always prone to food stains, spilling coffee and landing places for your food. These things can stain your necktie for life. If you also move about in your line of work, then it is advisable that you get a necktie bar to keep your tie in place. This would avoid your tie getting into food or anywhere else that can further damage it.
2. Clean your hands whenever you touch your necktie. You have to leave no sweat, stain or fingerprints in your necktie whenever you touch it. Make sure that your hands free of any sauce, stains or liquid that can damage your tie. The slightest mark can significantly decrease the aesthetic value of your tie thereby rendering it unusable and unfit for public wear.
3. There are other solvents that you can use to wipe off the stains from your necktie. If you use water, it can smudge the stain which can worsen the stain even more. Whenever possible, use a combination of a cleaning solution composed of water and soap or other cleaning solvents. You can use alcohol, juice, vinegar or any other mild detergent to remove the stain.
4. Neckties are delicate pieces of cloth. You should not knot them too tightly as this would leave permanent creases in your tie. When you wash them, you should also be gentle. Avoid tossing them inside your washing machine tub or pack them with your other pieces of clothing for dry cleaning. If you can, wash them with your own hands. Do not wring them too tightly.
5. Leaving your necktie folded in your drawer can create permanent creases. Hang them instead of simply dishing them in your closet. There are different tie racks that you can buy is different stores. These racks do not only prevent creases from your tie, it also minimizes space. Hanging your ties have different benefits: (1) you can prevent unwanted creases, fold and other deformities caused by stretching and folding of fabric; (2) it allows air to circulate which can keep your tie from smelling fresh; and (3) it helps maintain the natural shape of your necktie.
