What is the best way to remove a dark hair dye stain from a silk tie? Thank you?
The dye in question is the mixture of 'Just for Men' and this leaked onto my tie. The dye may well have been filtered slightly as the bottled mixture was in a cardboard box and the box was placed on top of my tie.
The tie in question is the one I wore when I got married and therefore I would prefer not to experiment. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Silk ties are really hard to clean...I worked at a cleaners and that was one of the toughest things to clean when it had tough stains on it......Take it to a cleaners and ask them.....Lots of stain removers for drycleaning only will work on your tie, but I would not try anything at home, It dont cost much to have a tie cleaned.....Good LUck
