It mentions blow-drying, roller setting etc but not direct heat (flat irons/ curling irons). Can I use it for straightening with a flat iron?
I actually have this and honestly it is not the best choice for flat ironing your hair. It is missing silicones like dimethicone, cyclomethicone, etc which helps protect the hair from heat damage. If you can blow out your hair with a blow dryer, then this would be an ideal product. But if you use this to flat iron your hair, the high heat with breakdown the chemical properties and actually make your hair more prone to heat damage. I would use something like Silk Elements Thermal spray or serum, Fantasia IC serum for flat irons or the spray, or FHI Hot Sauce. Basically look for the serums or spray that contains a lot of -cones in the ingredient list. I hope this helps.
