1. Offer Sound Advice and Suggestions: If you have an idea on the work that your husband is doing, you can offer some advice and suggestions to help motivate your husband. However you have to ask first if he needs it before you try forcing him to listen to your advice and suggestions. Sometimes a guy is just too proud to ask for some advice from his wife thus you also have to observe if he is in need of one. However if he says that he is doing okay and does not need such things then you have to respect him as well.
2. Always Encourage Him: Every day before your husband goes to work, you can tell him words of encouragement so he will make good in his job. These simple words of encouragement can help motivate your husband. He will be able to start his day at work with a lot of confidence. You can also write some words of encouragement in sticky notes and put them in his things to make sure he'll be able to see them and read them. You can also leave a note of encouragement on the refrigerator door so he'll be able to see it right away when he comes home or when he leaves early for work.
3. Be his Shoulder to Lean On: Sometimes guys encounter problems at work that can depress them. If your husband goes home from work feeling depressed and sad, you can be his shoulder to lean on. You can tell him that you are willing to listen to whatever he wants to say. These simple words will make him decide to share how he truly feels. Guys will not necessarily ask for advice. Just taking the time to listen to how they feel is already enough for them. Thus if you want to motivate your husband when he is having a hard time at work, try to listen to him.
4. Always be Appreciative: Your husband is doing his job to support not only himself but the whole family thus the least you could you is show him your appreciation. You can motivate your husband by being appreciative of his efforts. Guys who know that their efforts are being appreciated will always try to do well at work. You can show your appreciation to your husband in a lot of ways such as cooking him a nice dinner when he comes home, preparing a special lunch for him to take to work, or even buying him a new necktie.
