Acne and Pimples Clear Up those Spots on the Face
Spots are caused due the sebum build-up under the skin surface. Pores get blocked due to this build-up and may develop into a whitehead or blackhead. Sometimes these blocked pores may get infected thereby forming a pus-filled red spot.
A few simple tips about watching what touches your face.
Don't ever touch the spot or pick or squeeze it. This will not only cause infection but also scarring.
Avoid make-up for a few days. Oily or greasy makeup can worsen spots.
Wash you hands with soap before you wash your face with a gently cleanser. Nothing that may irritate the skin. Spots tend to become worse with excessive washing or scrubbing.
One may use a Benzoyl peroxide cream which usually helps to clear pores and kill bacteria.
Make sure about what touches your face! Contact with telephone receivers, scarves, hair, bag straps, animal fur, towels are items that may cause the spots to get infected.
Following a simple cleansing routine everyday give best results. Every morning when you wash your face look in the mirror for any new eruptions and take action immediately following the above mentioned pointers strictly. If neglected it is bound to get bigger and redder. Most of the time a small precaution goes a long way to keep the skin clear. Keeping the area clean is very important. Here I would like to share a simple home remedy which works very well for all skin types.
My teenager son is prone to boil like pimples only on his nose. He regularly used off the counter ointments or pimple/acne creams without much improvement. In fact the pimple becomes bigger and redder. I discovered a home cure which has proven to be very effective. The improvement can be noticed on the very next day.
The best part is that it doesn't cost anything!! Heat up some water and let it come to a boil. Turn off the flame. Take a clean hanky or washcloth and dip a corner into any brand face wash (a very small quantity and clean the area around the pimple) then dip another corner of the same wash cloth into the boiling water. Squeeze out extra water and check on your wrist for hotness then hold that part of the cloth on the pimple. It should be bearable. Hold it on the pimple for a few minutes and repeat. Need not press. Just dab gently. Do this every night and wake up the next morning to see the results. Do this for a day or two everyday till it starts to dry out. Works every time!!

Starting early in life in following a diet rich in anti-oxidants and vitamins gives the skin the texture and health needed for good skin. Your skin has a way of protesting and telling you what is missing in your diet. Also drinking small water after every meal is essential. I discovered this colorful diet which I call the color diet. It is an interesting diet and is wonderful for your skin.
The Color diet increases your intake of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Usually adding a single serving consisting of cup of juice, a piece of fruit, or two cups of vegetables from your color diet to your usual whole grains, protein and fats should be enough to get these vital ingredients.

RED/PURPLE
Anthocyanins are powerful anti-oxidants that inhibit clot formation.

RED/PINK
Lycopene a cancer fighting anti-oxidant is present in these foods.

ORANGE
