okay the dress is cute, and it's the right decision because plaid is very in right now, if you follow fashion. but it gives a cute sassy look but still manages to look casual. plus i love the colors. but i wouldn't pair it with a cardigan. the cardigan throws off the dress and just doesn't give the dress justice with it. the shape of the dress is something that wouldn't look good paired with a cardigan. if you must put something over it i suggest a black motorcycle jacket.
for the boots i would totally choose the first pair the higher ones. those are so cute, and give a motorcycle girl sexy leather look, which is also pretty in. black leggings would look good, although i suggest grey.
