I am in the process of importing silk pillowcases into the USA. In the USA would you consider these pillowcases or pillow shams? Would you order them as a pillow case that you sleep on here in the USA? or would you want a more traditional looking pillowcases with no edge?

The pillow cases on the link you provided are pillow shams. Pillow shams are not meant to sleep on, but to be placed on the bed in front of the bed pillows/sleeping pillows, for decorative purposes.
The reason why shams are not used to sleep upon is because the flange (outer edge) will not retain it's shape and look shabby after using it for sleeping purposes.
