Does anyone know where I can find a Vintage Hermes Birkin bag? NYC?
I'm searching for a Vintage Birkin bag, does anyone know any good places. Please don't say ebay, It's nearly impossible to tell if the bags are authentic. I'm think about going to NYC and just looking at vintage couture shops. I'm hoping I can find one for $1800 used.
Ebay has certain things in place to protect you from buying a bad bag. If by chance you do get a bad bag, report it, and the other person wont get paid (if you have paypal)
NYC is the worst place to go, if you're concerned about buying fakes. I estimate that 3/4 of the handbags in NYC are fake. You can probably find a bag that looks like the one you want, of similar quality in NYC for $40.
Try contacting Birkin, it's really the only way. They wont sell online, or distribute... so the only 100% sure way, is to contact them.
BTW, if you can find a Hermes Birkin for $1800 (in good shape) you are lucky. They get more expensive the older they are (if they are in good shape) It's probably going look more like a $4000- $6000 range.
