I believe the show was filmed in Hollywood, California ... so Hooterville was there!!!
Hooterville is a fictional town. No state can claim it. They were perhaps living in the "Twilight Zone".
The name of the state that Hooterville was located in was never mentioned.
But in the first episode of Green Acres, Oliver told Lisa he had to fly to Chicago and change planes a few times to get to Hooterville.
