Air Force BMT Questions?
1. How much time do you have to eat?
2. Would it be a bad idea to volunteer for a particular job? (Example: Laundry)
3. Where can I access a BMTSG prior to BMT?
4. Does the military care if your a registered voter or not?
5. Can a person fail MEPS if they are over weight and pure muscle?
6. When do you know that your security clearance is complete?
7. Signing up as an E-3 is it possible to come out of BMT and/or Tech school a higher rank?
8. Is there a requirement to become a NCO? (Example: At least a bachelor degree is required to be a CO)

2. Yes, do not pick latrine queen. I was day room supervisor and it rocked, very low stress.
3. I don't think this is possible.
4. Yes you will be allowed to vote in the military but probably not in BMT.
5. Yes, they do not look at it as muscle, they see it as being overweight. There is a weight limit for each height. You must not exceed that limit.
6. When they tell you, sometimes after tech school, for some 6 mos-1 year at first duty station. All are different.
7. NO. You will be an E3 for roughly 2 years before tacking on E4.
8. You must be a 5 level at your job which requires completion of CDC's. You must have time in grade before testing for E5 (Staff Sergeant) I was an E4 for a year before I tested for E5. You must compete for a line number during Waps Testing which comes around every year. If you get a line number you will be told when you sew it on and you must pass ALS which is a leadership course. When it is all said and done a new recruit that does everything right can expect to make E5 in 4-5 years.
