Personally I like both of your choices for outfits 1 and 2. The 1st one would be a little better if you had a gray sweater since pink/gray is an all-time classic color combo. With the second outfit I would just add a blue or white solid oxford dress shirt under the burgundy rugby for a cool layering effect. Now if you had a nice goldy/yellow tie, you could wear that under the rugby and leave the buttoms opened so you could see the knot and neckline of the dress shirt. Now that's stylish Don't listen to these losers saying for you to not wear jeans to a country club...being a member of a club is not about fitting in and being a snob, its about living by your own rules and defining who you are within the rules.
*If I were to give you one tip, I'd say don't mix designer labels with each other. Try to stay as consistent as possible because no matter what you do each company's materials and signature looks will clash.
