When should a bowtie be worn?
Im a formal person and have been wearing ties and ascots for the longest time but id like to venture into the world of bow ties. How they should they be worn (what patern with what, pointed ends?) and some examples on wearing them casualy
They do not have to be formal.
Personally wearing a bow-tie is a very gentlemenly staple. One thing you should always do when wearing on is to make sure you do the knot nice and small to give the pattern more character and whimsical charm, ie. about the size of the width of you neck or even just atoms-apple. Things I like to wear them with are a v-neck or crewneck sweater, preferable cashmere, a nice dress shirt with a blazer or sport coat, or even a nice sport shirt with a pair of jeans and a coodinating/off-coodinating vest.
