The Egyptian Glamazon look seems to be so rampant at the Spring 2010 runways. A good number of designers sent down models looking gilded and tribally chic. It is too early to tell whether Egyptian Glamazon outfits will be a big hit among ordinary consumers as well, but do not be surprised if this is the new summer look of 2010.
The definition of glamazon is "a beautiful, thick, tall, voluptuous woman", which obviously is something to aspire to. However, the Egyptican look can be copied more easily. A good place to start is with the sandals. It was no surprise for this trend to easily translate to footwear. Perhaps it will be difficult to pull off the whole glamazon look, but with these toe ring sandals we can give our summer outfits a quick punch.
For example, you may try the Corso Como Freesia woven multi-strap toe ring sandals that come in classic black and gorgeous platinum gold. Even a simple white summer dress will look updated with this pair.
Another option to try would be the Moschino Gold toe ring sandals, which is quite similar to the Corso Como Freesia, but in a more subtle way. There is less weaving and more skin-baring. Printed or plain dresses, long or short will all look good with this pair.
So if you want to channel the Egyptian Glamazon trend for spring, try starting from the bottom. At your feet, that is, with nice pair of sandals or other Egyptian looking footwear.
