Would you be more likely to buy from me if I wear a suit as opposed to Dockers, button down shirt, and tie?
I work in a bank as a financial advisor, and was wondering if it made a difference if I wore a suit or dockers, button down shirt, and tie. I look fine in both, but obviously the suit gives me more of a professional look, but I am much more comfortable in the second. Do you think it makes a difference in the amount I would be able to sell? It seems to me like it doesn't make a difference, but wanted to get more opinions. If I said a suit vs jeans and a sweatshirt, then I would say the suit would obviously be a much better choice. But because it is a suit vs dockers, shirt and tie, seems like it shouldn't matter.
as long as you are helpful and have good businessman qualities, it shouldn't matter. some peoplemay like someone a little more laid back, making it seem as though they have common ground, etc. as long as the product and selling abilities are there, either choice is suitable.
