Help tieing a Windsor knot tie?
Hi, I'm trying to tie a Windsor knot. I'm doing everything just fine, but when I get to the last couple steps, when I go to tighten the knot, I have a very shrimpy wide end, and a loooooong narrow end. But If i go to pull the wide end down, it crinckles up. How to I get the wide end down and the narrow end up higher without messing up the knot?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As long as your not the kind of ignorant person who will just post 100 tie websites thinking it will solve my problem.

Try starting with the narrow end near the bottom of your breastbone. Tie the Windsor and snug up the knot. Then, when you pull the narrow end down, to close the tie around your neck, it should end up just about right.
It's sort of a trial and error thing with each tie. You neck size, the length of the tie, and the thickness of the material all come into play.
