how can I wear a black pinstripe blazer to a fancy dinner?
So, in the beginning of july i'll have a 4 day event to attend where I will have jacket and tie dinners.
I bought a blazer today from Macy's , only because it was only $100 and I can return it.
It's black and pinstripe... I don't know what to wear it with! The pin stripes are kindof wide and it's a black pin stripe line instead of white.
What can I wear with this to a nice dinner?
A pinstripe jacket is only going to look good with matching pinstripe pants. I would recommend returning it and either getting a dark navy or black blazer or a lighter more summery jacket. I'd personally recommend a dark navy or black blazer as opposed to a more summery color because it will be much easier to match with a variety of different pants like jeans or chinos, and if you need to use the same jacket for multiple nights, it would give you much more flexibility in outfits.
Something like this would work great because it's not wool which gives it a more summery feel.
