How do i convert a 300kb mp3 file to about 100-250kb without converting?
I don't want to convert the file or use any fancy shmancy software freeware junk. I jus wanna make it simple. No 12/MHZ whatever u geeks talk about. Jus plain simple...
Ok, if you are using iTunes this will be very simple.
Open iTunes, and at the upper left corner, click on edit, and go down to preferences.
A window should pop up with various tabs at the top. Go over to the tab labeled advanced, and click on it.
Then, there should be three more tabs underneath. Click on the tab labeled importing.
There should be two drop down menus near the top. The first one will have various encoders. Click on mp3 encoder.
If the second drop down menue doesn't already have High Quality (160kbp/s) selected, then select it..
Once you have completed all these steps, click ok in the pop up box in iTunes.
Finally, select the music you would like to change the bit rate of, right click on it, and go down to "Convert this selection to MP3"
