Is the best man 100% accountable financially for the batchlor party?
My fiance was choosen as the best man in an upcoming wedding. Today when he paid the soon to be groom a visit, the soon to be bride gave my fiance a list of what he needs to pay for for the batchelor party. This list was somewhat long, it included several cases of beer, assorted liquors, enough hamburger and hot dogs for 14 people, several cases of soda, buns, chips, etc. Is the best man really 100% responsible to cover all the finances of this party? This is what the bride told him.
No. The bachelor party is supposed to be paid for equally by the people ATTENDING the bachelor party. So whoever showing up is supposed to pitch in for all that. If that's not the case, then it's the entire groom's wedding party that has to pitch in. That's ridiculous to ask ONE person to bear the price for the entire bachelor party. If that's what the groom to be wants, he sounds like a really inconsiderate prick.
